CLUB OUTING  -  25 NOVEMBER 2001

Another successful outing was held on Sunday 25th November which drew seven Darts (including a Hayden replica), one Flamingo, a visiting Cobra and a 1901 Albion on a trailer.

The proceedings started with coffee and muffins at PJ's restaurant in Kuils River. The restaurant was filled with club members and supporters, and the atmosphere was jovial.

The cars then drove in procession down Voortrekker road toward Strand and then on to the internationally acclaimed Spier Wine Estate where Peanuts had arranged for a section of the parking area adjacent to the lawns, to be cordoned off for the cars.

Picnic tables arranged on the lawns under the Oak trees, adjacent to the Eerste River, completed the picture and the weather was perfect. Picnic lunches and local wine from the Spier Delicatessen provided sustenance and elevated the spirits.
