NEWSFLASH - CHRISTMAS PARTY - NOVEMBER 2009

On the 13th November 2009 we had the GSM Christmas party at the Pot Belly Restaurant in Klapmuts.

This years Christmas party was organized by Deon and Annatjie Smit.

The rest of the GSMers could just clean up and arrive at Pot Belly with no worries.

A different venue this time to the normal Multi car clubhouse because some felt that a change would be nice and also the big Classic Car show was being held on the 15th November 2009 on the fields where the clubhouse is situated, therefore not available on that night.

Arriving at the restaurant one was greeted by our hosts and you could help yourself to a sherry.

David Hoal and Pat Duckham from Durban joined us for the party. We had Ron and Lyn Langfield from East London, Stef and Judy from Uitenhage, Peter Pretorius from Plettenberg Bay, new members to the club Theo and Mona from Paarl, Denis Joubert and Johan Walters with wife, Elmarie who attended the GSM Christmas party for the first time. Fantastic!

We hope they all felt very welcome at the 2009 GSM Christmas Party.

After a short speech from Piet, we ate a good meal and eventually one by one started making our way home.

We could not go to bed too late as it was a very busy weekend for the GSM members.

Ronnie Roberts, Andre Oosthuizen, Chris Walters had to get their beauty sleep so they could go mark the field for the cars to park the following day.

Peanuts had quite a job ahead of him for the next two days being the events organizer of the car show.

All the Darts and Flamingos had to be parked the next day on the field.

We all had a job to do and as usual the GSM club members do their job well.

Once again, good company, good food and good wine. Its great being a member of the GSM Car Club of SA (Cape Town)
