GSM CAR CLUB OF SOUTH AFRICA
Thank you letter.
As chairman of the GSM Car Club of
South Africa, I am directing this open letter, via our website, to
each and everyone that assisted the Club to present the Golden
Jubilee celebrations over the “Heritage Day weekend”.
Fortunately, with hind sight, I think the event was an enormous
success!
Once again with hind sight, I am sure we could have improved certain
aspects, but all of us, as amateurs, handled this once off event to
the best of our abilities and I am genuinely convinced that no
professional team could have done much better!
AN UNQUALIFIED THANK YOU TO EVERONE THAT ASSISTED EVEN IN THE
SMALLEST WAY!
At the risk of being judged unfair, I am going to treat our sponsors
in the same manner. While I am not going to take the chance of
mentioning names, I feel I have no option of signaling out Car
Magazine, Franschhoek Motor Museum and Mr Brian Smith of the Western
Province Motor Club. Without these three Main Sponsors we would have
not have been able to look back at such a great and successful
event.
THANK YOU CAR, AND YOUR TEAM, EN BAIE DANKIE MNR RUPERT, EN U SPAN
AND MR SMITH. THANK YOU.
I also want to thank each and every exhibitor that went to the
trouble of preparing and getting their Darts and Flamingos to the
jubilee. I certainly know what effort and cost went into finally
parking your car at the museum and at Killarney, and thank you seems
rather inappropriate, but your efforts are and will all ways greatly
appreciated. Without you we could not have called the show a
success! THANKS AGAIN!
I would also like to extend my sympathy to exhibitors that tried to
get their cars ready, but were forced to give up due to ill health
or other practical circumstances. I understand.
To the guys that could have been there, but could not really care……,
all I can say is you missed out on a great event!
Kind regards and thanks again
