KNOWN HISTORY:   

This was the first production Dart of the assembly line in the Bottelarey Road factory. Piet van Zyl bought the Dart in 1990 from Martie van Wyk who’s husband had passed away. His name was Schalk van Wyk. When Piet bought the Dart, Schalk had been fitting a V4 engine into it. The van Wyk’s bought the Dart ±1980 from Bill Law. Piet is at this time restoring the Dart to its original condition.

FIRST OWNER GILBERT COLYN.  FIRST PRODUCTION LINE CAR SOLD TO THE PUBLIC.  HE TRADED IT IN ON FIRST FLAMINGO SOLD TO PUBLIC IN 1962 MAKING HIM #1 & #1.
