HISTORY:
From 1963 to 1978 there is no record of any history apart for the scrap certificate with old registration no: TP 88084.
On the 28 November 1978 this Dart was
re-registered in the name of Mr. B.A. Jacobs with
registration no: NUF10712.
On the 27 July 1979 this Dart was
registered in the name of Mr. Gary Barcroft Bamber of 32
Schweitzer Crescent Emphangeni Natal, telephone no: 031
26423. He kept the same registration number.
On the 12 February 1982 this Dart was
registered in the name of Mr. M. Povanaspri of 111 Belmont
Road Red Hill Durban Natal with new registration no: ND
270020.
In 1986 this Dart was bought by David
Hoal from Durban North for R400.00 who rebuilt it and
registered it with registration no: ND 464001. The Dart won
a merit award at the Durban Expo show in August 1992. David
sold this car to unknown person who lived in Jeffries Bay
Eastern Cape. The registration number stayed the same.
In 1995 this Dart was bought by John
Smith of Bedfordview Johannesburg from unknown person. Car
was registered with registration no: FTG 615 GP.
On 6 December 1998 this Dart was at
the Aucor Auction at Kyalami (It was exhibit # 3).
John Smith withdrew the Dart from the auction and in
November 1999 sold the car to Adrian
Burney. Adrian over hauled the motor, gearbox, diff and
brake system. He only registered the Dart in his name on the
26 November 1999. In 2006 when Adrian moved to Delmas in the
Mpumalanga Province, the registration no changed to DJH 445
MP.
In July 2008 this Dart was sold to Evan Edwards of South Perth, Western Australia. Evan and a friend rebuilt the Dart to take part in the Philip Island Historic Races. (June 2009)
